Finally, a reminder of the following deadlines:

• AILACTE’s Model of Excellence Award applications are due by October 1st, click  here.

•  The request for session proposals is due by October 15th. For more details, click here.   

• Junior faculty should be encouraged to apply for the AILACTE scholar award ($2500 for research, $500 for expenses). Applications due by November 1st. Click here.  

• Renew your institution’s membership online by December 31st, click here.

According to the Professional Standards Commission's Beginning Teacher Survey (2003) independent colleges and universities prepared 18% of beginning teachers in 2007.   Georgia's twenty-one private colleges and universities.
